On the website
- Sign in, then open Prime Central.
- Under Manage membership choose Update, cancel, and more → End membership.
- Keep going through Cancel my benefits / Continue to cancel until it is confirmed.
In the Amazon Shopping app
- Profile → Account → Memberships & subscriptions → Prime.
- Manage membership → End membership.
- Finish the confirmation screens. Benefits usually run until the paid period ends.
If you subscribed through Apple or Google
Cancel in Apple Subscriptions or Google Play. Amazon cannot end a store-billed plan from its own site.
The trap: Cancel often means keep benefits until the period ends, not refund today. A full refund is typically only if you have not used Prime benefits since the last charge, or within a short signup window. Pause is not cancel. Screenshot the confirmation email.
